US ethanol production hits all time 4-week high

In Washington, according to EIA data as analyzed by the Renewable Fuels Association, ethanol production averaged 1.040 million barrels per day (b/d)—or 43.68 million gallons daily. That is up 17,000 b/d from the week before and an all-time record weekly total. The four-week average for ethanol production posted a 15-week high of 1.022 million b/d for an annualized rate of 15.67 billion gallons.

Stocks of ethanol stood at 19.1 million barrels. That is a 2.9% increase from last week and a five-week high. Gasoline demand for the week averaged 372.7 million gallons (8.874 million barrels) daily. Refiner/blender input of ethanol averaged 894,000 b/d. For the seventh time in 12 weeks, gasoline contained an average of more than 10.0% ethanol.
