Colombia’s Bioenergy ethanol plant achieves continuous operations

In Colombia, the country’s only dedicated ethanol producer, owned by Ecopetrol, Bioenergy achieved continuous production on March 18 at its 504,000 liters per day of ethanol its facility in El Alcaraván. The national energy regulator signed off on January 31, certifying the company as an ethanol producer. As of then, it has produced 113,000 liters of ethanol. It has already begun to supply electricity to the national grid and will eventually provide 35MW when at full production capacity.
