In Canada, Integrated Grain Processors Co-Operative is set to invest C$100 million to double its ethanol production capacity to 378 million liters in an attempt to combat imports into Ontario that currently suffers from a deficit. The company is currently waiting for approval from the Aylmer town council but with the sign off expected soon, the company believes it can commission the expansion by the end of 2018. IGPC says that once permits are in place then construction can begin almost the next day.
