Brazilian hydrous ethanol nearing

April 12, 2017 |

In Brazil, hydrous ethanol prices have fallen for the 10th week in a row, bringing the parity to gasoline well within reach of the 70% benchmark at 70.8% at 81 cents per liter.  With a huge influx of ethanol imports from the US during the interharvest period and the start up of the crush bringing more ethanol onto the market, only rains like those seen during the past few days and increased demand due to three national holidays can help stem falling prices.
