Waste-to-bioenergy plant on the cards outside Delhi

In India, a waste-to-bioenergy plant will be developed outside Delhi in Indirapuram by Ghaziabad Development Authority using up to 150 metric tons per day of Municipal Solid Waste that is currently burned in an open area 11-hectare site by locals.

The waste dump has been the cause of not just air pollution but also leaching into ground water. The technology to be employed nor what kind of fuel will be produced at the site was reported.
