Five Senators seek White House meet to pursue RIN reform alternatives

In Washington, Agri-Pulse posted a copy of a letter from Senators John Thune, Chuck Grassley, Deb Fischer, Joni Ernst and Roy Blunt requesting a meeting with the White House to present options for reducing RIN prices that don’t include a cap nor would limit the demand for ethanol beyond the 10% “blend wall.” Referring to a new study released by Valero that shows a RIN cap of 10 cents would limit ethanol blending to 10%, the Senators say the policy change would also hit E15, E85 and biodiesel.
