Indian Oil signs lease agreement on land for $113.3 million 2G ethanol plant

In India, the Business Standard reports that the Indian Oil Corp has finally come to terms and signed a 30-year lease for a 50-acre plot of land that will host the $113.3 million second generation ethanol plant under development in Uttar Pradesh. The land belongs to a defunct sugar mill and negotiations have been going on for some time to nail down the details. Two other defunct mills in the state could also be handed over to other private investors for redevelopment.
