Ethanol production eases slightly but stocks still build

In Washington, Platts reports that Energy Information Administration data shows ethanol production fell more than 3% on the year last week to 1.024 million b/d, which was also down 4,000 b/d from the week prior. Despite lower production, stocks rose by more than half a million barrels to 24.261 million barrels, with nearly all of the build in the Gulf Coast region that is typically the landing site for exports. Stocks fell in the West Coast region as imports failed to land for the 16th week in a row.
