In Canada, Bloomberg reports that the country is looking to boost its rapeseed exports to Europe as biodiesel feedstock in light of an ongoing trade dispute with China that has been overshadowed by the country’s trade war with the US. Having lost much of its demand from China, rapeseed prices have fallen and are in need for new markets. Dry weather and the ban on neonics are expected to cut Europe’s rapeseed production by 13%, opening up a window of opportunity for Canada.
