BioD teams with Zomato to scale up UCO collection in India

In India, the Hindu newspaper reports that used cooking oil biodiesel producer BioD has teamed up with local restaurant aggregator and food delivery service Zomato to set up a UCO supply chain nationwide with an initial target of 1,000 metric tons of UCO per month. BioD has been collecting UCO for 2.5 years but their biggest problem has been scaling up sourcing. Zomato brings to the table 1,000 kitchens in the New Delhi Capital Region and will expand next month to another five cities.
