Indian OMCs seek UCO biodiesel for five Odisha cities

In India, the UNI news agency reports that tenders have been floated to source used cooking oil-based biodiesel for supply to Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, Rourkela and Berhampur in Odisha. The country’s three largest oil marketing companies, IOCL, BPCL and HPCL, floated the tender, similar to when they float tenders to secure ethanol from sugarcane mills, but these tenders are to seek supply agreements for 10 years rather than just per season as they are for ethanol.
