Colombian palm oil producers begins exports to Europe

In Colombia, Manuelita Aceites y Energía, a subsidiary of Manuelita, started exporting palm oil-based biodiesel to Europe.

Manuelita has the RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) certifications for palm oil and the ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) for biofuels, which guarantee compliance with international standards for social and environmental sustainability, including the directive on renewable energy from the European Economic Community and the European standard for biofuel quality EN14214.

Colombian palm biodiesel reduces greenhouse gas emissions by up to 83% and particulate matter emissions by up to 75% compared to fossil diesel.
