In Brazil, Reuters reports that Copersucar says it expects the global ethanol market to recover gradually and that the US may even increase its exports to Brazil later in the year, especially in the North-Northeast region due to mills focusing on sugar and sugar exports this season. In the season that ended in March, the company sold 14.2 billion liters of ethanol, 3% more than the season prior, with 9.2 billion liters of the total volume sold through Eco-Energy, a US-based ethanol trading company it owns.
