Ethanol stocks fall to 6.5-month lows

In Washington, DTN reports that Energy Information Administration data shows ethanol stocks fell to 6.5-month lows of 21 million barrels as it fell for the ninth straight week last week. Ethanol blending reached a 12-week high of 831,000 barrels per day while production remains modest at just 893,000 barrels per day, down nearly 17% against a year ago while the four-week average was nearly 23% lower than a year ago. Driving demand is improving as areas begin to ease COVID-19 related lockdowns.
