Senator Grassley to back Senator Ernst’s move blocking EPA confirmation until “gap” requests sorted

In Iowa, Reuters reports that Sen. Chuck Grassley told journalists he will back fellow senator Joni Ernst’s plan to block the confirmation of an Environmental Protection Agency official if the agency doesn’t make clear how it will handle SRE “gap” requests. With 52 requests hanging in the air in response to the January 10th Circuit Court ruling regarding how the EPA hands out SREs, biofuel advocates are again going head-to-head with the oil industry and oil state politicians over who has to comply with the RFS and who doesn’t.
