Brazilian end-June ethanol stocks up 42% on year

July 14, 2020 |

In Brazil, Platts reports Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock data shows ethanol stocks at the end of June jumped 42% on the year to 5.96 billion liters, the highest on record since Platts started tracking in 2010. The figure is just 124 million liters above that seen in June 2018, however, leaving analysts to think that 2020/2021 could be similar to 2018/19. Nearly all of the stocks, except for 130 million liters, are located in the main center-south region, while nearly 66% of it is hydrous.
