CVR Energy exploring $100M renewable diesel facility at Wynnewood refinery

In Oklahoma, Platts reports CVR Energy is looking to begin renewable diesel production at its Wynnewood refinery. Earlier, the company said it was looking at the possibility, following in the footsteps of other refiners who have added RD production capacity. Engineering studies have already been commissioned for the proposed $100 million facility that would produce up to 7,000 barrels per day, likely from soybean oil. The fuel would be sold in higher value markets in California.
