Ethanol stocks fall despite ethanol production at six-week high

September 10, 2020 |

In Washington, DTN reports Energy Information Agency data shows as ethanol exports from the Gulf Coast region draw down national ethanol stocks for the first time in four weeks. Ethanol production rose to a six-week high last week while blending fell to an eight-week low, but it wasn’t enough to compensate for exports. Ethanol production rose to 941,000 bpd, only 8% lower than the same period last year. Blending levels were at just 830,000 bpd, more than 10% lower than last year.
