Sunbird Energy supplies ethanol for Zambian E30 trial

In Zambia, the national oil company teamed with Sunbird Bioenergy to successfully undergo a pilot project to trial 30% ethanol blending in five government-owned vehicles. Sunbird believes it will deliver the first ethanol for commercial blending during Q1 2021 when it starts production at its small-scale facility that is a first step towards its commercial factory. The company uses cassava as feedstock and is expected to produce 1 million liters per year with the first facility.
