Average ethanol price climbs in 13 Brazilian states, falls in 11 others

In Brazil, The Rio Times reports that the average prices of hydrous ethanol increased in 13 states and the Federal District in the week ended on Saturday, November 14th, compared to the preceding period, with the price of biofuel falling in 11 states.

This is according to a survey by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels compiled by AE-Taxas.

In São Paulo, the main producer and consumer state and with more stations assessed, the average price of hydrous ethanol stood at R$2.930, an increase of 0.58 percent over the preceding week (R$2.913).

The price of the biofuel fell in 11 states, while in Amapá and Roraima there was verification.

At stations surveyed by the ANP across Brazil, the average price of ethanol has increased 0,66 percent in the week over the preceding one, from R$3.05 to R$3.07.
