Thailand readies for E20 by July 2021 after several delays

December 29, 2020 |

In Thailand, the Bangkok Post reports that after several delays, E20 is set to become the standard gasoline at the pump across the country by July 2021. Currently, E10 is the standard fuel at the pump with both 91 and 95 octane options available. E20 will be 95 octane only. The most recent delays to the policy shift was due to the priority placed on ethanol for hand sanitizers to battle COVID-19 rather than blending with fuel.
