Ethanol production falls by nearly 28% during Snowmageddon

In Washington, DTN reports Energy Information Administration data shows the recent winter storms that left much of the US under snow and with below freezing conditions cut ethanol production by 27.8% to 658,000 bpd, the lowest since May 2020. As a result, stocks also fell, to 22.785 million barrels, a 12-week low and more than 6% lower than the week prior. Stocks fell in all five PADD regions, also in line with lower blending rates.
