Therm vs Ferm – Which has Bigger Returns?

In the battle between THERM vs FERM, today we look at a case study and what technology provides the best yields and returns given the economic conditions and prices of now. Gasify everything? Slice and dice the fractions? Targeted fermentation for high-value markets or “mass with gas” thermochemical approach to maximize carbon credits? We did a little bit of an investigation and took a spot in the corner of southwest Iowa, if you’re familiar with that particular map there it is down in the Shenandoah area. We are looking at the thermochemical catalytic technologies which have been coming along one of them associated with drop in fuels and then there’s traditional fermentation technologies which have become a lot less traditional with the advent of some of the molecules of processes that make it.
