Argentina increases prices for both ethanol and biodiesel

In Argentina, La Nación newspaper reports the government has again increased the price of biodiesel and bioethanol as published on Monday in the Official Gazette. The measure could have an impact at the pump.

The measure was made official through resolutions 852/2021 and 853/2021 of the Secretariat of Energy, dependent on the Ministry of Economy of the Nation, and were signed by the Secretary of Energy, Darío Martínez.

A liter of bioethanol made from sugar cane or corn was set at 60 US cents for the month of September until the next price is published.

For biodiesel destined for blending with diesel for operations corresponding to the month of September was set at $1,249 per ton; at $1,275 per ton in October, and at $1,300 for November.
