Seed companies submit 111-page proposed clean up plan for AltEn

In Nebraska, the Lincoln Journal Star newspaper reports seed companies have submitted a 111-page proposal, submitted through the Nebraska Voluntary Cleanup Program, that outlines the emergency clean up plan for the AltEn facility in Mead that will last well into the new year. The report outlines the poor state of disarray they found the facility in upon arriving in February when the company was first shut down by the state, including 250,000 cubic yards of pesticide-laden wet cake and overflowing wastewater treatment ponds.
