Thailand limits biodiesel blending to 5% through at least March

February 3, 2022 |

In Thailand, the Bangkok Post newspaper reports the Energy Policy Administration has decided that as of Saturday, 5% biodiesel blends will be the highest allowed, removing B7 from the market, at least until the end of March. The government capped diesel prices in March, so in order to keep the national coffers in order in the face of higher oil and biodiesel prices, biodiesel is taking the hit. Plans for introduction of B10 and B20 have been put on hold indefinitely in light of high prices.
