February 24, 2022 |

In Nebraska, the Lincoln Star newspaper reports Corteva, AgReliant, Beck’s Superior Hybrids and Winfield Solutions have sued AltEn in U.S. District Court in Omaha for misuse of its treated seeds in ethanol production while Syngenta filed its own complaint. All five companies are part of the AltEn Facility Response Group that agreed to help the plant clean up the environmental damage caused from using seed corn to produce ethanol. The sixth member of the group, Bayer, has not filed suit as it says it will continue to help the company in the clean-up.
