Competitive Edge: Rucoil’s UCO, food scraps, used engine oil recycling systems

March 10, 2022 |

As gasoline prices seem to be on the stairway to heaven going up, up, up and in a time when we are so focused on where we get our gasoline from, what country we support by buying oil from, ways we can supply more of our own county’s oil supply, and more tough questions, today we are looking at a company that focuses on how we can collect our own oil for our own energy supply. How? By making it super easy to collect used cooking oil, used engine oil, and even food scraps to convert to biodiesel.

In today’s Digest, we look at Connecticut-based Rucoil and their intellectual property that combines a system based on artificial intelligence, robotics, digital and automatic control for the collection of organic wastes that can then be used for biodiesel, bioenergy, ethanol, glycerin, bioplastics, and more.

Q: Tell us about your organization. What do you do?

Rucoil is a pioneer in sustainability, meeting tomorrow’s IP high-tech needs and providing excellent waste management technology for sustainable bioenergy production.

Our main focus is a unique, innovative patented IP technology platform of automatic kiosks for the collection of recyclable materials of food waste and used oils from home and commercial establishments.

Q: What stage of development are you?

Commercial stage – have mature products or services on the market.

Q: What do your technologies, products or services do and accomplish – how does it (they) work, who is it (they) aimed for?

Rucoil provides the best way to collect and sort these wastes to recycle them. This is waste to be recycled and converted to a commodity that can be sold to different industries like, organic products, clean energy and the oil industry, increasing opportunities for different businesses in the USA. This initiative will be accompanied by a public awareness campaign to encourage citizens to recycle and to make efforts to measure innovative activities to focus on the commitment to implement all the environment regulations to recycle and reuse used cooking oil, greasy food and food wastes generated by a large number of homes and businesses.

Q: Competitively, what gives your technology, product or service set an edge in cost or performance, sustainability, or any other aspect, that makes it stand out from the crowd, In short, what makes it transformative?

Rucoil’s main focus is to develop and strengthen our innovative product with a special design that is easy to handle and the customer can use for the storing and transportation of their organic wastes. By implementing our patented IP and developing the machine to collect food craps and used cooking oil, Rucoil will be pioneering a novel program of waste recycling. The collected material from the machines can be used to create alternative bio-products like organic oil, biodiesel, and bio-energy.

Q: What are the top milestones you have accomplished in the past 3 years?

We developed a new IP network software, for the service of automatic machines for the used oil and food waste recycling market.

Q: What are the top milestones you will accomplish in the next 3 years?

  1. Promote automated tools for recycling companies
  2. Ensure the raw material for the production of bioenergy
  3. Ensure the raw material reduces pollution
  4. Reduce the costs of recycling and increment the profit
