Uttar Pradesh to develop biofuel policy following national ambitions

In India, the Business Insider newspaper reports the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh has called on his government to develop a biofuel policy to follow in the steps of the national policy that supports compressed biogas (CBG), biocoal, ethanol and biodiesel. Already a CBG and two biocoal plants were in production in the state as of June but the chief minister said the ambitions needs to be grander, achieving 500 metric tons of CBG per day in the next five years.
