November 15, 2022 |

In Spain, Telde Actualidad reports Atlantic Biofuels will open a biodiesel facility in the El Goro Business Park (Telde). The project, called Nave Biodiesel Canarias, has been in the public information phase since last week for a period of 30 business days. The procedure began on June 21.

The plant will be installed in a warehouse located at number 4 Calle de Virgen de la Candelaria. It will have a production capacity of 2,000 liters/hour and will use a technologically innovative process in the sector. It has a grant from the Government of the Canary Islands, through the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, of almost 90,000 euros.

The submission to public information, the administrative file, the project and the environmental impact study of the facility were published last Tuesday in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands (BOC). The ship will house a large amount of this ecological fuel that replaces petroleum derivatives.

The project is also subject to an environmental impact assessment, whose authorization depends on the Vice-Ministry for the Fight against Climate Change and Ecological Transition of the Government of the Canary Islands. As it is subject to public information, the process of allegations to the technical project is open. The document where the technical issues of the project are collected is made by the industrial engineers Pablo Díaz and Rafael Ortega.
