Argentine government establishes new guidelines for the supply of biofuels

In Argentina, Infocampo reported that the country’s Ministry of Energy established the guidelines for the supply of biofuels intended for blending with conventional fuels in the country.

The government established that blenders must report, before the 20th of each month, the estimated monthly demand for biodiesel or bioethanol for the following quarterly period. Biofuels producers will also have to disclose their product availability for the following month.

Based on this information, the Biofuels Directorate will calculate the amounts of biodiesel and/or bioethanol that the blenders must acquire from the manufacturers for the mandatory blend on a monthly basis.
