Deep Polymers inks MoU with IITG to develop biodegradable plastics

In India, India Infoline reported that Deep Polymers has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with IIT Guwahati (IITG) with the aim of developing biodegradable plastics.

Under the terms of the agreement, Deep Polymers will make investments for the development of biodegradable plastics and related technologies, while IIT Guwahati agreed to provide professional services as needed.

The scope of the MoU includes a discussion on sustainable polymer-based technologies, contract-based studies on sustainable polymers, training of industrial manpower in the area of bio-based, biodegradable polymers, and joint research on biodegradable plastics.
