DHL Express Italy to trial Eni’s SAF on flights departing from Milan Malpensa airport

In Italy, Airport Technology announced that Italy’s airport management company SEA Group, DHL Express Italy and Eni have reached an agreement to trial the Eni Biojet a sustainable aviation fuel on DHL Express flights departing from Milan Malpensa Airport. With this test, DHL Express becomes the first express air courier in the country to use SAF for its flights, according to the report. By the end of this year, SAF will be used by 28 DHL Express flights. “This partnership with Eni and DHL, the first company at Malpensa to use SAF, is an important step towards the decarbonization of the air transport sector, a priority goal for our industry,” said SEA Milan Airports CEO Armando Brunini.
