Devan launches biobased allergen control technology

In Belgium, Belgian firm Devan Chemicals said it will launch Purissimo NTL, a  biobased and readily biodegradable allergen control technology, at the Heimtextil trade show in Frankfurt this week. The firm said that the new technology is based on the probiotic encapsulation technology and aims to improve the lives of people who suffer from allergies. It can be applied to textiles during the finishing stage of the textile manufacturing process, Devan said. Purissimo NTL is a natural allergen control technology that cleans up pet dander, pollen and house dust mite allergens in textiles throughout the home. The company also noted that Purissimo NTL can be used on a wide range of textiles such as mattresses, pillows, bedcovers, blankets but also upholstered furniture, carpets, curtains and public transportation and pet items, such as bedding.
