Zanyu Technology to invest $147.6M in Malaysian palm oil biodiesel and chemical production

In China, Yicai Global reports Zanyu Technology plans to invest $147.6 million to produce 200,000 metric tons of palm oil-based biofuels and 350,000 tons of three other oleochemicals at the Palm Oil Industrial Cluster near the Port of Lahad Datu. Amongst the three oleochemicals will be glycerin. The first of two stages should be online in 24 months. The company plans to supply most of the products to the domestic market but also to regional and global markets as well.
