In India, the Hindu Business Line newspaper reports EID Parry’s board has greenlighted ethanol production capacity expansion at its Nellikuppam distillery in Tamil Nadu. The $10.5 million expansion project will increase production to 120,000 liters per day from the current 75,000 liters per day, the same size as its newly commissioned ethanol facility in Andhra Pradesh. The TN project will use B-heavy molasses and sugar syrup as feedstock while the AP distillery also includes the ability to grains as feedstock.
