India’s Prime Minister Modi to inaugurate methanol plant on April 14

In India, The Sentinel reported that the country’s Prime Minister Narandra Modi will inaugurate a methanol plant in Assam on April 14.

The plant, dubbed ‘Assam Petro-Chemicals Limited’, has a capacity of 500 tons per day of methanol. This project is a joint venture of the Government of Assam and Oil India Limited.

Assam state will start exporting methanol to Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal once the facility is fully operational, according to previous reports.
