Ethanol production begins to increase as maintenance period starts to end

In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports ethanol production continued to increase slightly last week but remains elusive of the psychological 1 million barrels per day mark at 987,000 bpd. With the summer driving season kicking off soon and the possibility that the Environmental Protection Agency will approve year-round E15 in time, ethanol facilities that had been shut for annual maintenance during a period of thin margins are starting to come back online.
