EPA delays final RVO by one week

In Washington, Reuters reports that Growth Energy has granted the Environmental Protection Agency a one-week extension on its court-ordered deadline to publish the Renewable Fuel Standard blending levels for 2023-2025. The final blending mandates are expected to include more biodiesel than in the original proposal published in December and is likely to not include the addition of electric vehicles to the RFS. The finalized rule is meant to mark a new phase in the RFS as Congress only contemplated blending levels through 2022.
