Vueling says over 100,000 passengers selected to fly with SAF under the airline’s SAF program

In Spain, Europa Press reported that more than 100,000 passengers of Spanish low-cost airline Vueling chose to fly with SAF during the first year of the voluntary SAF program.

The option to contribute is available during the ticket booking process, and is matched by Vueling to double the amount of SAF supplied, according to the report.

The airline has the objective of using 10% of SAF in 2030 and having supplied more than 100,000 tons of this fuel per year.

Vueling noted that SAF reduces CO2 emissions by 80% compared to traditional fuels.
