EgyptAir to blend 2% SAF by 2025 and 6% by 2030

In Egypt, Zawya news agency reports that EgyptAir told local media that it plans to use 2% biofuel by 2025, joining the global trend to begin decarbonizing air transport partially through biofuel blending. It expects to reach 6% blending by 2030. The airline completed its first commercial flight using SAF in November 2022 in partnership with Neste, flying from Paris to Sharm El-Sheikh a delegation to the COP27 climate change conference on a Dreamliner Boeing 787-900.
