OFTEC says there is enough HVO to supply off-grid homes

In the UK, H&V News reports that OFTEC says that independent research shows there is enough HVO supply in the country to supply off-grid heat demand. Heating oil boilers can be modified to use HVO and the trade body says it hopes that off-grid homeowners will be encouraged to use alternative fuels for heating rather than kerosene. The recent publication of the national biomass strategy highlighted a lack of HVO supply for off-grid use but they argue that isn’t the case.
