In India, the Business Standard newspaper reports that following the launch of the Global Biofuel Alliance, delegations from countries including Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda are set to visit the country’s biofuel and biogas industries to learn how to speed up deployment in their own countries. Nineteen countries signed up to be founding members of the GBA including non-G20 countries like Kenya and Uganda. Visits will include meeting with oil marketing companies as well as signing of bilateral MOUs to develop biofuels that could include deals not only for transportation but also for cooking fuel.
