The Digest’s 2023 Multi-Slide Guide to CO2 Reduction and Upgrading for e-Fuels Consortium

Commercial shipping and transportation expected to be difficult to electrify/decarbonize. Projected supply of traditional biomass feedstocks may be insufficient to fully meet global demand. CO2 as a feedstock could help meet SAF Grand Challenge. The CO2RUE consortium aims to develop technologies to upgrade CO2 to fuels and chemicals in order to reduce GHG emissions as well as land and water use and incentivize decarbonization. Here, NREL’s Michael Resch, the consortium director, presented these slides at DOE’s Project Peer Review on the consortium’s progress.
