Indian Oil launches first green hydrogen fuel cell bus as part of pilot

In India, the Press Trust of India reports that Indian Oil has launched the country’s first green hydrogen fuel cell bus that emits only water vapor as emissions. IOC’s R&D Center at Faridabad is producing the fuel that the buses run on, which is three times as energy dense as other fuels but without the emissions. It takes 10-12 minutes to fuel the bus with 30kg of hydrogen which allows it drive 350km. The pilot will see 15 hydrogen fuel cell buses running routes in Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.
