The Digest’s 2023 Multi-Slide Guide to Technoeconomic Analysis and Life-Cycle Assessment for Separations

October 27, 2023 |

The Bioprocessing Separations Consortium is a National Laboratory-led effort, supported by the U.S. Department of Energy Bioenergy Technologies Office, that is dedicated to identifying and overcoming separations challenges associated with the conversion of biomass into fuels and chemicals. This Consortium’s work is helping to reduce bioprocess separations costs, which can account for up to 50-70% of processing costs. Here, a research team led by Eric Tan gave this update at DOE Project Peer Review 2023 on the “Technoeconomic Analysis and Life-Cycle Assessment for separations” project.
