Gucci campaign features Billie Eilish and vegan leather

In New York, singer/songwriter/activist  Billie Eilish will feature heavily in a Gucci campaign that includes a luxury bag made from vegan leather Demetra. The material was used for the spring 2024 Horsebit 1955 bag, an iconic Gucci silhouette shoulder bag.

 “I am honored to be part of Gucci’s evolution in rethinking tradition,” Eilish tells Vogue. “It’s a new understanding, and one that isn’t afraid to evolve in a new direction, that truly matters to me.”

Demetra was developed by Gucci and is 75% plant-based. Feedstock includes viscose, wood pulp, hemp and corn-based plastic. Gucci used the material in three sneaker styles in 2021.
