BNDES finances two biomethane plants with a total of $46.9M

In Brazil, the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) adds around R$230 million in two new financings for biomethane production. In the Essencis Biometano SA project, the Bank contracted financing of R$93.8 million for the construction of a biomethane plant in the largest landfill in Latin America and the 3rd largest in the world, located in Caieiras (SP). For the company Cocal Energia PPT Participações Ltda., the BNDES approved financing of R$ 135 million for the implementation of a biogas plant in Paraguaçu Paulista (SP).
