December 30, 2023 |

In Australia, K Rock reported that the environmental watchdog has approved an application for a waste to energy plant in Anakie, Australia.

According to the report, Pavilion Biogas Pty Ltd wants to build the facility on Carrs Road to create organic fertilizer and biogas fuel.

The facility will be based between two broiler farms on land already owned by the company, the report added.

The new plant is expected to process almost 30,000 tons of organic waste and chicken litter each year, generating more than 6,000 tons of fertilizer and biogas. The biogas will be converted into electricity to power the facility and an adjacent chicken farm.
