LyondellBasell, Pigeon use biobased plastic for nursing bottles

January 1, 2024 |

In the UK, Package Gateway reported that LyondellBasell and Pigeon Singapore have partnered to advance sustainable research and development efforts in baby nursing bottles.

The report noted that the partnership aims to transition away from using 100% virgin polypropylene resins in the production of Pigeon nursing bottles. Pigeon is introducing a renewed series of nursing bottles that have been developed using LyondellBasell’s biobased CirculenRenew polypropylene polymers (PP), the report added. These polymers are made from renewable feedstocks derived from bio-based wastes and residual oils, such as used cooking oils.
